PURPOSE OF THE COURSE
The course is designed to train students in a leadership role with the correct attitude above others in the safe use and technology of Rebreather diving with no decompression, to a maximum depth of 40 metres/132 feet.
This programme is broken into two sections:
FIRST SECTION - THEORY
This theory or academic section, which any person may take and complete, followed, without obligation, the Second Section which is the practical session where you can learn with an Instructor the underwater skills necessary for this level of training and complete your certification.

SECOND SECTION - PRACTICAL TRAINING
With your RAID Instructor
Confined water - time enough to master skills as detailed + Speciality requirements
Open Water - minimum 6 hours underwater + Speciality requirements
NOTE: If the Diver already has complete a Speciality for the Rebreather they are using, then the added time for the Speciality is not required/included.
CERTIFICATION
Upon successfully passing the practical training you receive:
International Diver Certification
On-line logbook
Diver certification E or C-card
Unrestricted access to manuals
We must point out that the practical training cost (Second Section) is not included in the online fee. This cost must be discussed between yourself and the appointed RAID dive centre / Instructor who will complete the practical training.
The core rebreather courses cover rebreather diving in general and the Speciality course covers the details of the unit / rebreather you will be using. You need to complete both cover rebreather level AND the unit Speciality to get your diver certification.

PREREQUISITES for the Second Section
To be a minimum of 18 years old.
To be a certified diver for at least 6 months.
Have a minimum of 25 hours logged in water time (confined and openwater) on a rebreather of which at least 6 hours are carrying a side sling alternate air source.
Have a RAID Level 3 and Rebreather Speciality or equivalent certification from a recognised training agency.
Submit a current Rescue Breathing/CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificate. (DAN/equivalent)
Completed the Level 4 academics on-line.
Documented proof of prerequisite requirements needs to be presented to the Dive Centre for approval prior to any in water training.
CERTIFIED REBREATHER LEVEL 4 DIVEMASTER DUTIES
Supervise recreational and training activities by organising and directing dives.
Assist an instructor during in water training sessions for all courses or subject to the standards detailed in a Speciality programme.
Guide dives for certified divers to a maximum depth of 40 metres/132 feet water.
Accompany students under the direct supervision of an instructor during surface swims to/from entry/exit point, and navigation exercises.
Remain with other students when the instructor conducts a skill; for example, ascents/descents.
Accompany students during Levels 2, 3 and Level 4 under the direct supervision of an instructor.
Conduct Local Area Orientation dives for certified divers.
Conduct rebreather review refresher skills in confined water only.
Conduct a Discover RAID Rebreather in confined water only, subject to rebreather Speciality standards.
Conduct open circuit review refresher skills in confined water only.
Conduct a Discover open circuit in confined water only.
Maintain current liability insurance and membership, subject to local laws.
