The ProTec Intro Trimix certification course is an introductory program for using Normoxic Trimix. The Intro Trimix is designed specifically for dives to a depth of maximum 45 meters (depending on the gas mixture).
For decades, research has been conducted in order to find the optimal helium-containing breathing mixture for divers. As a result, the trimix – air which is enriched with helium is one of the most widely used. Under adequate conditions, the trimix composition makes it possible to explore to far depths with a clear head and no nitrogen dioxide poisoning. The Intro Trimix program is best suited for those who want to get a good impression of technical diving and the usage of Trimix for dives which are still in the border zone of recreational and technical diving.
In this program, you will mainly learn to use the gas mixture Normoxic Trimix with 18-21% O2.
Prerequisites
- The minimum age is 18 years old
- ProTec 2** Diver or AOWD certificate or equivalent
- ProTec Advanced Nitrox (2) certificate or equivalent
- Completion of at least 100 dives, 20 of these dives have to be done with the usage of Nitrox gas
