Welcome To KOH TAO THAILAND DIVING

KOH TAO THAILAND DIVING is located in the heart of Sairee Beach on Koh Tao at KOH TAO THAILAND DIVING consists of a dedicated technical diving team set to exploring and mapping Thailand's wrecks and caves. Every month we carry out several cave and tech wreck exploration trips. We head to the cave systems in southern Thailand to carry out cave courses, training and exploration there. We search for virgin WWII wrecks in the Gulf of Thailand and beyond, hunting for new wrecks and WWII Japanese "Maru" ships sunk by the Allies, and visit some of our favourite wrecks. We also offer technical diver training so that you can explore some of these fascinating underwater sites few have ever seen.

Our Scuba, tec and cave instructional facilities are second to none and our dedicated Recreational Scuba, Technical and Cave Dive Instructors offer some of the most demanding and challenging technical diving courses available. Our NAUI and ProTec Technical, trimix, cavern, wreck and cave diving courses are hugely rewarding. We strive to make every student stand out as a highly knowledgeable and skilled technical diver and we believe in exceeding course standards.

Wreck Hunting Expeditions in the Gulf of Thailand

Aboard the MV Giamani, a fully kitted out technical live-aboard. We depart from Koh Tao, Pattaya, or Phuket visiting the HMS Repulse, HMS Prince of Wales, USS Lagarto, Tottori maru and many more. We will also be searching for some new marks such as the Akita Maru.

Our technical dive centre is based on the island of Koh Tao, in the Gulf of Thailand. We offer some of the best value, tech diver training available from nitrox diving to full cave and instructor courses. We offer NAUI and ProTec courses. Welcome to Tech Diving Thailand, Technical Diving Department. Tech Diving Thailand is run by David Polley, an avid wreck and Cave Instructor and NAUI, BSAC AND ProTec Instructor Trainer, who is dedicated to running high-level technical diving courses and tech expeditions around Thailand. We also have a dedicated team of technical diving instructors running very high standard technical diving courses, CCR diving and cave/wreck expeditions from dive resorts are based in Koh Tao, Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Chang and Koh Lipe.

Our technical diving facility has a team of experienced technical instructors teaching tech, wreck and cave courses to the highest standards at dive sites across South East Asia. We are Koh Tao's only CCR training centre with our in house CCR instructor David Polley and CCR workshop with sorb, cells and gas boosters.

The OUR technical diving facility includes:

A new workshop for equipment repair and servicing.
A gas blending station, offering nitrox and trimix and standard gases.
Technical diving rental equipment with leading brands, Halcyon, Hollis and Apeks.
Rebreather workshop with Gas booster, trimix, sorb and spares

At Tech Diving Thailand we have multiple tech boats, a high speed RIB and hard boats to reach the best technical diving sites in the Gulf of Thailand; we also organize regular tech trips on live-aboards into the Gulf of Thailand and the South China Sea and cave trips on the mainland.

Technical Diving Resort

The Tech Diving Thailand dive resort offers accommodation to suit all budgets and tastes nearby. There is also a swimming pool, nearby and the beach is nearby of the shop.

The Tech Diving Thailand Technical Diving Department also has a well-stocked tech diving shop offering: Halcyon, DUI, Scubapro, Apeks, Hollis, Light Monkey and Diverite technical diving equipment for sale.

Technical Diving Expeditions

We regularly hunt for new wrecks in the Gulf of Thailand and further afield into the straits of Malacca and south China Sea. We have many WWII wrecks from submarines to Japanese Marus (merchant ships) scattered across the Gulf of Thailand. Have a look at our schedule for trips and dates. Cave diving expeditions in southern Thailand are regularly run looking for new cave systems and mapping Thailand underground caves and sinkholes. Come and join our cave diving research group after completing your cave course looking for new caves in Thailand.

Tri Mix Diving Thailand.

We offer all ProTec courses include Intro to Tech, Decompression Procedures, Advanced Nitrox, Extended Range, Sports Mixed Gas, Tri-mix, Explorer Mix Gas, Advanced Mix Gas, Cavern, Intro to Cave, Full Cave, Compressor Operator, CCR Rebreather, and Gas Blender courses and all NAUI recreational levels in Thailand. Our courses are run on the island of Koh Tao in the gulf of Thailand. Our courses run using DIR standard mixes. We offer our helium at a great rate making it very affordable, as we run a our tri mix through continous flow trimix blending system designed and built by Tech Thailand. Courses start in our 5 Star facilty in Koh tao, Thailand and can be completed on our wreck liveaboards or at in the sunken village at Khao sok. Our great prices include training, equipment, boat fees, certifications, course materials, transports to Khao sok, accomodation and food at Khao sok. Helium is charged at just 1.5 baht a litre and for the full DSAT course costs 17,000 baht. We offer some of the most intensive and thourgh tri mix courses available, covering mordern dive theory, including Ratio deco, ICD Isobaric counter diffusion and all the latest helium theories.

ProTec Intro Trimix:

An entry-level program focusing on Tx21/35 and Tx30/30 for depths up to 45 meters, suitable for divers transitioning from recreational to technical diving.

Normoxic Trimix:

Focuses on planning dives up to 60 meters using Normoxic Trimix (21% oxygen) and Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) for decompression.

Course Overview

The ProTec Trimix 60 course is the natural continuation of the air tec courses. It builds on the knowledge learned and introduces divers to trimix diving. The ProTec 60 course qualifies the successfull student to dive down to 60msw using trimix (min oxygen content 18%), perform gas switching and entering unlimited decompression obligations using nitrox or pure oxygen.

Pre-requistes

Minimum age of 18.
Advanced Open Water diver certified.
Rescue diver certified.
Advanced Nitrox certified
Tec 50 certified or equivalent.
Proof of 100 logged dives.

Details of the course

The ProTec 60 diver course covers:

Trimix diving depth ranges

Course duration and number of dives

The ProTec Normoxic Trimix - 60 course is a 4 day course and 5 dives are required

Full Trimix (91m/300ft):

Specialized training for,, for instance, ProTec Sardinia, focusing on using helium to dive to 91m with multiple gases and advanced decompression technique

Student Prerequisites

Minimum age of 18
Minimum certification as a ProTec Advanced Nitrox Diver and Decompression Procedures Diver (or equivalent)
Minimum of 100 logged dives

This course is run over four days and consists of one day of theory and three days boat diving. However, students who have already completed the Extended Range course may be credited two dives towards this course.

P roTec Advanced Trimix (100m):

Prepares divers for dives to 100 meters or 330 feet, using multiple stages and helitrox, often with training in complex scenarios like stage deployment and gas switches.

The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilising custom oxygen / helium / nitrogen mixtures as breathing gases with no less than 18% Oxygen, and utilize Nitrox mixtures and Oxygen for decompression to a maximum depth of 100 msw (300 fsw). This course is for students looking at diving deeper reducing the effect of nitrogen narcosis and handling Oxygen Toxicity.
