ProTec - Technical Diving courses Koh Tao Thailand
Koh Tao Technical Diving Thailand
KOH TAO THAILAND DIVING- Our technical diving courses work on mastering the basics first such as trim, buoyancy and team dynamics. Our technical diving courses teach you to plan and make decompression dives using the standard DIR hogarthian tech rig and using Nitrox and oxygen as a decompression gas for accelerated and non accelerated deco. Out tech training is second to none here on Koh Tao situated in the Gulf of Thailand. KOH TAO THAILAND DIVING offers all NAUI recreational and ProTec technical and overhead diving courses.

ProTec
COURSES
ProTec courses include Intro to Tech, Decompression Procedures, Advanced Nitrox, Extended Range, Sports Mixed Gas, Tri-mix, Explorer Mix Gas, Advanced Mix Gas, Cavern, Intro to Cave, Full Cave, Compressor Operator, CCR Rebreather, and Gas Blender courses. and all NAUI recreational levels.
ProTec Decompression Procedures
· 4 days
· 4 Training Dives
· 3 Theory Sessions
· 3 Practical Sessions
· Requirements: Advanced Open Water, Nitrox Diver, Deep Diver and 30 Dives
Learn to use Nitrox (enriched air) up to 50% for decompression dives. Here we lay down the fundamentals of tech diving using the standard DIR hogarthian tech rig working on propulsion techniques, trim, bouynacy and team diving skills. Learn the basic of trim and buoyancy wearing twinset and 1 40 cf deco tank. You will then learn out of air and shut down drills, calculate SAC rates, holding deco stops, lift bag deployment, fining techniques (including fining backwards) minimum deco and much more. We will look at utilizing deco software for decompression, gas calculations and dive planning. All our training can be carried out at our technical training facility on Sairee beach in Koh Tao, Thailand.
ProTec Advanced Nitrox
· 4 days
· 4 Training Dives
· 3 Theory Sessions
· 3 Practical Sessions
· Requirements: Decompression Procedures and 50 Dives
ProTec Advanced Nitrox is the second sub-course in the full Advanced Nitrox course picks up where the Decompression Procedures course ends at the same time preparing you for ProTec Extended Range. During this course you will learn the skills and equipment and planning procedures needed to dive to a maximum of 45 meters/145 feet. You will also gain the knowledge to plan and execute single and repetitive decompression dives using a single stage cylinder of EANx or oxygen to accelerate the decompression stops. There would be no time limit to amount of decompression other then gas supply. This training program will teach you how to prepare and respond to foreseeable technical diving emergencies. Master the basic skills and procedures you'll need as you move deeper into tech diving.
ProTec Extended Range
· 4 days
· 4 Training Dives
· 3 Theory Sessions
· 3 Practical Sessions
· Requirements: Advanced Nitrox
Learn to use Nitrox (enriched air) up to 50% for decompression dives. Here lay down the fundamentals of tech diving using the standard DIR hogarthian tech rig and team diving. Learn the basic of trim and buoyancy wearing three tanks. You will then learn out of air and shut down drills, calculate SAC rates, holding deco stops, lift bag deployment, finning techniques (including finning backwards) and much more. We will look at utilizing deco software for decompression, gas calculations and dive planning. Our gradAll our training can be carried out at our technical training facilty on Sairee beach in Koh Tao, Thailand.
ProTec Decompression Procedures, Advanced Nitrox, Extended Range Combined
· 8-10 days
· 12 Training Dives
· 6 Theory Sessions
· 8 Practical Sessions
· Requirements: Rescue Diver, Nitrox Diver, Deep Diver and 100 Dives
This course combines the performance requirements of Decompression Procedures, Advanced Nitrox, Extended Range and gives you the combined benefits of all three levels. Taught in a fluid 8 day schedule, if you sign up for the full program we will provide you with the required 12 training dives and give you three additional tec dives free of charge. Remember this level not only opens up new dives sites but allows you to progress to other overhead environment and mixed gas programs.
Ready to explore the technical diving field, in this course you will complete 12 training dives including the use of twin manifold tanks, back-plate and harness and wing system with stage tanks, 8 practical applications, 6 knowledge development sessions and 2 exams.
After successful completion of the ProTec Extended Range course you'll be able to conduct gas-switch extended no-decompression dives, decompression dives and accelerated decompression dives using air and enriched air to a depth of 50 metres/165 feet. You'll also understand the hazards and risks involved in technical diving, as well as how to prepare for and handle reasonable foreseeable technical diving emergencies.
The Course Covers: (but is not limited to) Technical risks and responsibilities, technical equipment rigging, gas planning, team diving, technical pre-dive checks, specific tech diving hand signals, gas shut down drills, gas switching, long hose gas sharing, lift bag deployment, removal and replacement of deco cylinders, equipment and gas failure procedures, handling technical diver emergencies and rescue drills, oxygen management, decompression computer software, executing decompression stops and dives.
