The TDI Intro to Tech Diver course here on Koh Tao is you gateway into the world of technical diving. The TDI Intro tech diver course lays down the fundamentals for all tech diver training, teaching  skills such as advanced propulsion techniques, gas planning, perfect buoyancy, trim, twinset fundamentals, gas sharing with a long hose, valve drills and much more. Intro to tech training here at Davy Jones Locker on Koh Tao, allows the recreational diver to progress at their own pace into tech diving. The course also includes 4 Intro to tech dives around Koh Tao dives sites, in the warm waters of Thailand.

 

TDI’s Intro to Tech course is a foundation course giving the diver a solid understanding and motor skill sets for the basics of tech diving, many divers combine the TDI Intro to Tech diving course with TDI Advanced Nitrox course and the TDI Decompression Procedures course. The Intro to Tech course is also a good refresher for certified technical divers who may want to refresh their skills whilst on travelling in Thailand.

Prerequisites

  • Open Water Diver  (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
  • Have a minimum of 20 logged dives
  • Be at least 18 years old

The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 within your current certification level to a maximum depth of 40 metres/130 feet during dives hat do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career. Advanced Nitrox is also a great course for those wanting to extend their bottom times in shallower depths such as scientific diver, and a must for SCR or CCR divers. The course cover topics like:

  • Equipment requirements
  • Dive planning
  • Oxygen tracking
  • Blending methods

You will use the TDI Advanced Nitrox Diving manual for your course, which explains in an easy to understand practical manner the complex information that Advanced Nitrox divers need to know.

Prerequisites

  • TDI Nitrox Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)
  • Advanced Open Water Diver (or hold a qualifying certification from another organization)

This course is for the serious adventure wanting to explore further into the overhead environment, make jumps off of main lines to adjoining passages.
