David Polley B.Sc.

Technical, Trimix, Cave & Wreck Instructor and Instructor Trainer

David has over 10 years experience as a dive instructor teaching in a wide range of aquatic environments. Dave began his professional dive career in the UK as a dive instructor whilst studying for his degree in Environmental Biology at University of Bath.

He joined Tech Diving Thailand in 2011 and now manages the Tech Diving Thailand Technical Department.

David leads the Tech Diving Thailand technical facility ensuring high standards are maintained across all technical operations. David is responsible for all

technical programs at Tech Diving Thailand from CCR to advanced trimix courses and technical instructor courses. He also runs regular cave

diving trips, teaching TDI Intro to Cave and TDI Full cave diving courses and leading experienced cave divers into the many deep caves

found on the mainland such as Song Hong and Sra Keaw. Most of these caves require CCR trimix dives with lenthy decompresion. David

runs TDI and PADI TecRec programs and has written some PADI TecRec diving courses such as Advanced Wreck and Cave diver. He is a

BSAC Advanced Mixed Gas Instructor, BSAC Inspiration CCR instructor and teaches the whole range of BSAC tech courses. David is also a

TDI Instructor teaching closed circuit rebreather, Full cave, advanced nitrox and decompression procedures courses, extended range,

Trimix, TDI sidemount etc

As an experienced CCR Inspiration/Evolution instructor his main interest is in CCR deep wreck expeditions, and exploring the many WWII

wrecks in the Gulf of Thailand and South China Sea. David regularly leads expeditions to dive the many Japanese ‘Maru’ shipwrecks sunk i

n WWII and other wrecks scattering the gulf and searching for new wrecks on deep trimix CCR dives, and found many new shipwrecks

around Thailand. David is also fluent in Thai and as an experienced cave diver and head of the technical expedition team 'S.E.A. Explorers'

he carries out cave exploration expeditions and surveying caves around Thailand, working with Thai officials and universities.
